The Protoss can be reached via land, but your best option is using air drops. Your goal is to kill them within 30 minutes, which means you'll have to mostly ignore the Terran on the map. That's how hard this game is.With the base secure, you'll also need to be looking at the Protoss. how they want, where they want, and have all of that being anticipated. SC2 is a lot like that one **** in school that throws a tantrum if you don't give them what they want, when they want. Little kids obvious shouldn't be playing big boy games like this, teens won't enjoy because of the ludicrous difficulty, adult won't like it, because it's too demanding, even for the best of players. I would not recommend this game to anyone. You are skilled beyond comparison, even with the awful game design. I bow down to anyone who can beat this game and still like it. Though protoss having no healing in either game (LOTV almost fixed it) is absolutely criminal and needs to be fixed. An interesting overall story, fun gameplay, all the units, aside from the bikes and firebats felt useful, the game, no matter what difficulty it was, felt like you had to think more and spend more wisely, the levels, while some are straight up ass, kept things different. If they kept the missions some of like the earlier ones (And by missions, I mean mission 10), I might be more forgiving and be less harsh on the game, but it didn't. 99 dimensional, aside from Duke, he was 1.5 dimensions flat. The story itself is not too interesting at that point.
While I'm not a coder, that doesn't excuse the devs for not putting in something that simple.
If on resources: Collect and continue until there are no more. Does the command center have a waypoint? Yes. It should not be hard to program collecting resource at waypoints. They go all over the place, they won't move unless told so which blocks your own army, if you set a way to resources or whatever, they do nothing. 12!? That's nothing! The AI for your unit is terrible. The armies die in a flash because, for some reason, you can only control 12 units. There are others, but that's chief among them. I could understand abilities like irradiate being locked off or stimpaks, because they are not necessary to good utilization of the unit, but stuff siege mode-locked off was just asinine (Especially since alpha squadron didn't need to unlock it. For some reason, the devs thought it was a good idea to have siege tanks not have their siege mode you know, the one reason to use an otherwise crap unit. That's not an excuse for the terrible inconsistencies and failure to challenging instead of unfair. Before anyone complains, I don't care how old this game is. I hope I don't have to make this clear ever again.) Punishingly unfair to a degree that's straight up **** Everything was fine until the 10th mission (I stopped there and I won't be continuing or trying the other ones as I wasted over 10+ hours trying to beat and I still can't). (If you like and are good at this game, and you don't want like people hatting the thing you like, don't read. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.
